Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
When you submit a cake inquiry or dessert package inquiry, you give us your name, email address, phone number, event date, event type, venue or event location, estimated guest count, package or cake choices, color palette and design vision, and any other details you type into the form.
If you use the custom cake inquiry form, you may upload inspiration images. That form is hosted by Google, and Google may record your Google account name, email address, and photo when you upload a file.
When you email us, we receive the information in your email.
Information collected automatically:
Our website platform, Squarespace, collects technical information needed to run the site, such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and IP address. Squarespace may also collect analytics information about site traffic and activity.
Google Forms may set cookies or collect technical information when you open an inquiry form.
We do not ask you to enter payment card details into a website form. If you pay by invoice, payment details are handled through the payment service linked in your invoice.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
Respond to your inquiry and follow up about your date and availability.
Prepare a proposal, quote, invoice, tasting, or order.
Plan, schedule, deliver, and set up your order.
Communicate about your order, including changes, delivery details, and care instructions.
Maintain business records and improve our website and services.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share personal information only with service providers needed to run the website and handle inquiries, including Squarespace as our website host and Google as our form host. Those providers process information only to provide their services to us.
We may also share information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the safety of others.

This site uses cookies that are needed for Squarespace to serve the site securely, and may use analytics and performance cookies to understand site traffic. You can control cookies in your browser settings, including blocking cookies or deleting cookies already stored. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. If you use a Google Form linked from this site, Google's cookie and privacy practices apply to that form.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and order information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, complete your order, and maintain business records. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we collect and why, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
We do not sell personal information. To exercise a California privacy right, email ashlee@ashalexcakes.com with your request and the email address you used to contact us. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may authorize another person to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.
