Accessibility Statement

Ashlee Alexandra Cakes LLC is committed to making ashalexcakes.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, and other assistive technology.
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, known as WCAG, version 2.1, Level AA. This is an ongoing effort, not a completed certification.

Measures we are taking
We have taken, or are in the process of taking, the following steps:
Adding a Skip to Content link and keeping navigation consistent across pages.
Giving each page a unique, descriptive title.
Correcting heading order so each page has one main heading and headings do not skip levels.
Adding descriptive alt text to meaningful images, and checking images that appear visually but were not listed in the accessible view.
Using descriptive link text instead of generic link text.
Marking required form fields with an asterisk plus a written note, so required status is not shown by color alone.
Reviewing pale text on white backgrounds, including text during page fade-in animations, and darkening text that does not have enough contrast.
Adding this statement and a clear way to ask for help.
Known limitations
As of October 26, 2026, we are aware of the following limitations, and we are working to fix them:
Some page titles and heading levels are still being corrected.
Some photographs still need alt text checked or added, including photographs on the Dessert Packages and Contact pages and images in the home page brand carousel.
Some pale text on white backgrounds still needs contrast correction, including secondary text on the Services page and links on the 404 page.
The home page carousel does not yet have a pause control confirmed. No autoplay was observed during our October 25 check.
Mobile layout at small screen sizes has not yet been fully tested.
Our inquiry forms are hosted by Google Forms. Google Forms controls some heading structure in those forms, and we have limited ability to change it. Form fields in those forms are labeled, and required fields are marked with an asterisk.

Inquiries on this site open external Google Forms. If you cannot use those forms, email ashlee@ashalexcakes.com with your name, event date, event type, and a brief description of what you need, and we will follow up by email.
